Anshul Malhotra is an Indian textile designer, entrepreneur, and handloom conservationist from Himachal Pradesh.[1][2] In 2022, she received the Nari Shakti Puraskar, India's highest civilian honour for women, from President Ram Nath Kovind in recognition of her contributions to preserving traditional handloom weaving, promoting Himachali textiles, and empowering rural women through skill development and employment.[3][4]
Career
[edit]Malhotra is associated with Krishna Wools, a family-run handloom enterprise founded by her father, where she has worked to preserve traditional Himachali weaving techniques and textile designs.[5] She has developed more than 2,200 handloom designs and has supported the training and livelihoods of over 200 rural artisans, particularly women weavers, in Himachal Pradesh.[6]
