Annur is a village in the Kannur district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is situated immediately north of Payyannur.[1]
History & Culture
[edit]Annur has a history connected with progressive social and political movements in Northern Malabar.[2] Prominent local institutions include the People's Arts Club, Sanjayan Library, Kasturba Library, Ekajalaka Career Guidance Centre, Annur Sri Mahavishnu Temple, and Thalayanneri Temple.[3] The Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Annur.
