AnnaIA

^[1]AnnaIA is a suite of artificial intelligence platforms designed for the analysis, cataloguing and processing of audiovisual and documentary material. It was founded in 2025 as the technological division of Videoconversion Digital Lab, based in Barcelona.

History

AnnaIA was created in 2025 to apply advanced AI technologies to large‑scale audiovisual and documentary archives. The suite integrates with Videoconversion’s digitization services and is aimed at public institutions, historical archives, universities and cultural organizations.

Main platforms

VerbaDoc Pro

Advanced OCR combined with language models and RAG for extracting information from complex documents. Includes semantic search, intelligent segmentation and metadata generation in archival standards.

Scriptorium IA

Platform focused on historical manuscripts: handwriting recognition, paleographic analysis, digital restoration and automatic cataloguing.

Annalogica

Transcription tool supporting more than 50 languages, speaker identification, automatic subtitling and export to standard formats.

Annalysismedia

Visual content analysis system: face and object detection, scene classification, metadata extraction and large‑scale audiovisual cataloguing.

Cadex.studio

AI‑assisted environment for audiovisual preparation, segmentation and content structuring.

AnnaMETS

Automatic generation of metadata in standards such as METS/ALTO, integrated into archival workflows.

Integration with Videoconversion

AnnaIA works jointly with Videoconversion Digital Lab on digitization and preservation projects. The combination of professional digitization and AI analysis enables large‑scale archival work, such as the UNED project (16,400 reels and more than 90,000 generated files) or the historical audiovisual archive of TV3.

Infrastructure

AnnaIA uses modular architectures, third‑party AI APIs and public repositories under the VCNPRO GitHub organization, with cloud and hybrid deployments.
