Anis is one of the protagonists of Goddess of Victory: Nikke gacha game made by Korean studio Shift Up. She's defined by her lively and rebelious personality, undying loyalty to her friends and most importantly unhealthy soda addiction. Anis wears multiple different outfits, but is mostly associated with wearing shorts, military beret, a jacket, long socks and a combination of gold and dark-gray colors. Being one of the most popular characters in Nikke community, she became the face of a game by hosting multiple livestreams on official Nikke youtube channel. In the story Anis plays various roles most of the time being a comic relief, but she also sometimes acts as a voice of reason and a guide to the player, who lost his memories at the beginning of the story.
Main Story Appearance
[edit]Player meets Anis during the prologue of the game. After waking up without memories, player meets Anis at the battlefield. She checks his data and after finding out he's a rookie Commander, she shows distrust and starts doubting his abilities. After some time Anis reveals her distrust for all humans, assuming they only treat nikkes like simple weapons, but Commander ends up changing her mind when he shows rarely seen compassion to his teammates. Later the Commander, Anis and her teammate Rapi come back from the mission to see the Ark, which is a home to all of humanity in the game. Back there the three of them form a new squad called Counters specialised in commando tactics. After that the squad gets their own Outpost as a place of operations, where they get to live together.
Throughout the story, Anis accompanies the player on all his missions slowly changing her distrust to affection. On chapter 33 after seeing others accomplishing great things in battle, Anis starts questioning her own usefullness to the team and decides to leave. She decides, that her friends will only get dragged down by her until she finds a way to get stronger. Her plan is to acquire the super weapon from her former CEO, who refuses unless she performs as a popstar during a concert. It's revealed, that before Anis joined the Counters, she was a popstar, but due to harsh treatment she had to retire, which also reveals the reason behind her distrust for humans. Anis still holding a grudge for what happened, thinks that there are no humans, who are worth dying for or even seeing her perform, but she decides to reluctantly agree to the terms. During her preparations for the concert, Anis meets with her friends, which further remind her of her past. During the preparations the Ark is attacked and Anis against her own beliefs, decides to rescue the civilians from strong foes despite being powerless herself. That is the moment when Anis realises, that not all humans are evil and that there are those worth fighting for. Shortly after Anis gets a message, that Counters are in danger without her. In result she grabs the super weapon provided by her CEO and saves the day from the threat, which completes her transformation by gaining the power to absorb the energy and shoot it back at the attacker with bigger force. At least that's the end for now.
During Chapter 45 Anis fights alongside Rapi and Neon, who also got their upgrades along the way. During a fight Anis absorbs so much energy, that she overloads her core. That on the other hand allows her to gain super speed, while also being able to shoot down the stars from the sky. After dealing with the threat and reuniting with her friends, Anis finally finds a purpose in her life and people she can rely on.
