History
[edit]Andercore was incorporated on 17 June 2021 as Impetus ConTech GmbH and renamed Andercore on 9 November 2022.[4] Its founders, Philipp Andernach and Elsa Cordonnier, had previously founded Service Partner One, a facility-services software company later rebranded SoniQ, which was sold to Kärcher in 2019.[5] Andercore began operations in January 2022, focusing on cross-border procurement of infrastructure, energy, and building materials.[1][2]
For several years the company kept a low public profile. According to Handelsblatt, staff were subject to non-disclosure agreements about their employment before the company's public launch in 2026.[1] Early investors included Project A Ventures, Target Global, and Atomico.[6] In November 2025, Inven Capital joined as a new investor, with Project A and Atomico reinvesting.[7] In February 2026, Andercore announced a $40 million Series B round co-led by Atomico and Project A, bringing total reported funding to $75 million.[1][3][2]
Business model and operations
[edit]Andercore purchases goods on its own account and resells them to buyers across Europe. According to the company, it takes ownership of the goods it trades and assumes responsibility for quality, logistics, and financing.[1][2] Orders are fulfilled at container scale and include energy materials such as PV modules, batteries, and inverters, as well as infrastructure components such as insulation, steel, and PVC pipes.[1][3]
The company operates a software platform that uses AI-assisted pricing, quoting, and order management, which it says can produce quotes within hours.[1][2] According to the company, the platform handles thousands of transactions per month across seven European markets, and it works with TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas, and SGS for quality assurance.[1][2] Its banking partners Commerzbank and KfW are also investors in the company.[1][3] The company reports approximately 80 employees as of 2026.[1]
