Albuquerque Records is an Indian record label founded by Anirudh Ravichander. The label was launched in February 2026 as an artist-owned music label, with a focus on releasing Anirudh's film and non-film music as well as providing a platform for emerging and independent artists. Anirudh stated that the label would support new and original voices and help independent artists gain greater exposure, while also contributing to the development of regional pop music. The label is headed by music executive B. Kaushik, who serves as its Label Head and Chief Operating Officer.[1][2][3]

In March 2026, Albuquerque Records entered into an exclusive partnership with Universal Music India Pvt. Ltd. (UMI), a division of Universal Music Group. [4]Under the partnership, Universal Music India handles the distribution and release of future pop and hip-hop music by Anirudh and artists signed to Albuquerque Records. The partnership also aims to expand the label's reach internationally and establish it as a home for emerging pop and hip-hop artists from the region.[5][6][7]

In February 2026, Anirudh announced the launch of his own record label, Albuquerque Records, in collaboration with Universal Music India.[8]Anirudh stated that the label was established to support independent artists and musicians who struggle to gain exposure, with Albuquerque Records providing them with opportunities and helping bring their work to a wider audience.[9][10]

In June 2026, Albuquerque Records released its first single, "Aravindh", which was composed by Anirudh. [11]The release marked the label's official entry into the music industry and served as its debut musical production.[12][13][14]

On 18 July 2026, Albuquerque Records released its second song, "Thatti Utta". The song was composed by Marshall Robinson and Sachu Madrasi, further expanding the label's catalogue beyond Anirudh's own compositions.[15][16]
