In Indore, Airvoice served as a technical partner alongside the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Cleaner Air Better Life airshed management programme, conducted in collaboration with Smart City Indore, the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, and the California Air Resources Board.[3] Under the programme, 50 sensors were deployed across the city to generate pollution heatmaps for use in municipal policy.[3]
In June 2026, Airvoice participated in the Confederation of Indian Industry's Cleaner Air Better Life initiative in Pune, collaborating with the Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation on a decision support system for urban air quality management, providing city authorities with 72-hour air quality forecasts.[4][5]
Environmental research and studies

In 2025, the company collaborated with the University of Arizona and Nanyang Technological University on a study on physics-informed building occupancy detection, which was presented at the American Control Conference.[6]
In March 2026, Airvoice published a study reporting that nearly 40% of India's districts lacked a single government-operated air quality monitoring station.[7] Airvoice CEO Vitalii Matiunin noted that automated monitoring remained unavailable in several states and that significant data was lost due to technical downtime.[8] The findings were reported by multiple national outlets.[9]
The company has published studies on seasonal pollution variations in India. A study conducted during Diwali recorded an average spike of up to 875% in PM2.5 concentrations due to firecrackers, with atmospheric conditions typically returning to baseline levels within 24 hours in some regions.[10] The data was referenced in debates over the relative contribution of firecrackers and stubble burning to winter smog.[11] A separate study found that Bengaluru experienced a larger PM2.5 spike than New Delhi during New Year celebrations, with levels reaching 56.05 μg/m³.[12][13] In 2024, the company also published research on air quality at Indian tourist destinations, finding declining air quality in Shillong attributed to rising vehicle numbers.[14]
