Adam Moseley (born 2 June 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for National League North club Southport on loan from EFL League One club Wigan Athletic.
Club career
[edit]Runcorn Linnets
[edit]Moseley was a youth player at Northern Premier League Division One West club Runcorn Linnets.[1] He became the first player born in Runcorn to progress from the club’s junior ranks to the first team,[1][2] and he debuted on 8 October 2022 during the 2–1 victory against Ossett United in the FA Trophy third qualifying round.[3]
He scored his first goal for the club on 2 October 2023 during the 2–2 draw against Charnock Richard in the FA Cup first qualifying round,[4] and he signed a contract five days later.[2] He scored a match-winning hat-trick in the 2025 Cheshire Senior Cup final.[5]
Wigan Athletic
[edit]On 8 January 2026, Moseley joined EFL League One club Wigan Athletic;[6][7] he was an unused substitute one day later against Preston North End in the FA Cup third round.[8] On 24 June 2026, he signed a one-year contract extension.[9]
He debuted for Wigan Athletic on 18 August 2026 during the 3–2 victory against Aston Villa U21 in the EFL Trophy group stage.[10]
Loan to Southport
[edit]On 5 September 2026, Moseley joined National League North club Southport on a one-month loan deal.[11][12] He debuted for Southport on the same day during the 2–0 loss against Spalding United,[13] and he scored during the 2–1 victory against Morecambe on 8 September 2026.[14]
