AdCare Rhode Island is a private addiction treatment facility located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It is part of the AdCare Hospital network and is operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). The facility provides medical detoxification, residential addiction treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), outpatient services, and treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. It is operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC) as part of the AdCare network of treatment facilities.[1]
The North Kingstown campus was originally established in 1977 and became part of the AdCare network following its acquisition by AdCare in 2015. In 2021, the facility sustained damage from a fire that required the evacuation of patients and reconstruction of part of the campus. Reconstruction began in 2024 and included plans to expand the facility's capacity.[2]
