Comment: recycled press releases are not the independent secondary sources with in depth coverage that we're looking for. Stuartyeates (talk) 01:11, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
3 Comma Capital SCR, S.A. is a Portuguese regulated, privately-owned asset management and venture capital company headquartered in Lisbon. The firm operates as a Sociedade de Capital de Risco (SCR) and is supervised by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
Founded in 2022, 3 Comma Capital focuses on alternative investments, including fixed income, digital assets,[1][2] and venture capital, with an emphasis on blockchain technology, Web3 infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
In June 2024, 3 Comma Capital launched Portugal's first CMVM-regulated investment fund dedicated exclusively to digital assets with daily liquidity. The launch was described by Jornal de Negócios and FundsPeople Portugal as a milestone for the Portuguese regulated investment industry, representing the country's first regulated investment vehicle[3] providing institutional exposure to digital assets[4][5].[6]
History
[edit]3 Comma Capital was established in Lisbon in 2022 by Nuno Serafim and Patrick Hable. Since its inception, the company has expanded its activities in the open-ended fund segment. By 2026, the firm had surpassed €140 million in assets under management.[7]
Acquisition by C2 Capital Partners
[edit]In April 2026, C2 Capital Partners[8], one of Portugal's oldest private equity firms[9], announced the acquisition of a majority stake in 3 Comma Capital[10]. According to Expresso[11] and Jornal Económico[12], the transaction formed part of a merger process between the two firms. The combined entity reported assets under management exceeding €1 billion.[7] The merger process between the two firms is subject to regulatory approval by the CMVM - Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários.[7]
As part of the integration, the team and structure of 3 Comma Capital were incorporated into C2 Capital Partners.[13], and the combined organization expanded its workforce. Investment strategies and fund structures remained unchanged.
Funds
[edit]The company manages investment funds eligible for the Portugal Golden Visa programme[14][15][16][17], focused on fixed income, digital assets and multi-asset investing.
