1GLOBAL (then, TP Global Operations Limited) was established in 2022 by: Hakan Koç (Commonly associated with his company AUTO1 Group) and Pyrros Koussios.[11] [12] [13] [14]

On 24th January 2023, 1GLOBAL acquired the assets of Truphone Ltd. after securing a variety of licenses from the UK and other national and regional governments - this included undergoing a national security review in the UK, Germany and the US.[15]

In 2026, the companies of Schwarz Group (Lidl) acquired a 9.9% stake in 1GLOBAL.[16]

2022 December: The assets sale of Truphone Ltd. to TP Global Operations Limited is approved by the UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy under the NSIA 2021.[15] [17]
2023 January: 1GLOBAL completes the acquisition of Truphone Ltd., securing variety of licenses from the UK and other governments. Undergoes successful national security review in the UK, Germany and US.[15] [18]

October: Former Vodafone Germany CEO Dr Hannes Ametsreiter joins the 1GLOBAL board as non-executive director.[19]

2024 January: 1GLOBAL partners with Jazeera Airways to introduce consumer eSIM technology to the airline's service offering to passengers.[20]

February: 1GLOBAL signs a deal with neobank Revolut to offer its customers access to 1GLOBAL’s eSIMs and mobile network.[21]

May: German Mobile Service Provider, Freenet partners with 1GLOBAL to introduce "freenet Travel".[22] [23]

July: 1GLOBAL partners with Verint to expand its cloud-based compliance recording.[24] [25]

December: 1GLOBAL recorded a revenue of $100 million. [26] [4]

2025 January: 1GLOBAL partners with Nokia to upgrade existing 5G networks.[27] [28] [29]

April: 1GLOBAL launches its Message+ integration app for Microsoft Teams, extending capture of text-based communication on SMS and WhatsApp for compliance purposes.[30] [31] [32]

May: KPN, provider of mobile and internet services in the Netherlands, launches its one-click eSIM transfer and phone upgrade capability, with 1GLOBAL's Entitlement Server and eSIM technology.[33] [34]

May: 1GLOBAL partners with German digital bank N26 to enable N26 app customers to access local mobile plans via their app.[35] [36] [37]

June: 1GLOBAL partners with Dutch mobile operator Odido to develop the SimWallet, which provides 5G connectivity packages to mobile phone users in the Netherlands.[38]

July: 1GLOBAL opens new Global HQ in Amsterdam and changes Governance Structure by appointing new board members: Marc van Campen and Roy van Leeuwen, while extending Dr Hannes Ametsreiter's role to Chairman.[39]

2026 April: Germany based Schwarz Group (Lidl) acquires a 9.9% stake in 1GLOBAL. As part of the agreement, 1GLOBAL serves as the exclusive technology partner for Schwarz Group’s mobile connectivity for five years.[40]
