Asteroid 1995 CR is a small, fast-moving Aten-class near-Earth asteroid classified as a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid (PHA) by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Estimated between 0.119 and 0.267 kilometers (approx. 120 to 270 meters) across, roughly comparable in scale to a large building or sports field, The asteroid completes a trip around the Sun every 316 days. It plunges as close as 0.12 AU to the Sun—deep within the orbit of Mercury—before swinging out as far as 1.69 AU past Mars. At the time of its discovery, it held the record for the closest solar approach of any known C- or S-type asteroid
