Richard Andrew Beckner (November 24, 1927 – September 9, 1997) was an American gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and competed in eight events at the 1956 Summer Olympics.[2]
As a gymnast, Beckner was a member of the Los Angeles Turners Club.[3] His brother, Jack Beckner, was a teammate on the 1956 USA Olympic gymnastics team.[3]
He attended Franklin High School and graduated in 1945.[4] He competed for the high school's gymnastics team under coach Tony Spangler.[5]
He retired from gymnastics in 1958.[4] He later coached gymnastics at El Modena High School.[1]
