DYKC (675 AM) Radyo Ronda is a radio station owned and operated by Radio Philippines Network. The station's studio is located at SMC Warehouse Compound, A. del Rosario, Tipolo, Mandaue, while its transmitter is located at Brgy. Suba Basbas, Lapu-Lapu City.[1][2][3] DYKC is the pioneer AM radio station in Cebu.

History
[edit]The station was established in 1965 as an independent radio station, DYBC at 660 kHz. It was originally owned by Visayan Broadcasting Network under Eduardo Lopez and Co.. During that time, it was first located at Filomelia Bldg. along Magallanes cor. Borromeo Sts., Cebu City.
On October 28, 1969, Kanlaon Broadcasting System, now known as Radio Philippines Network, took over the management of the station when it began operations on radio under its control. In 1972, it was fully acquired by KBS and changed its callsign to DYKC. It relocated to its home at Brgy. Maguikay, Mandaue City and transmitter moved to Brgy. Opao.
Six years prior, DYHP, owned by Radio Mindanao Network, caused severe adjacent-channel frequency interference, commonly known as "signal-bleed", which was at 670 kHz. Because both stations were operating at high-power transmitters in Cebu, significant overlapping signals to heavily disrupted the listeners for the station's popular format. DYHP was later resolved this bleed-over issues by moving DYKC to 1260 kHz in 1975.
on November 23, 1978, DYKC transferred to its current frequency of 675 kHz in response to the adoption of the 9 kHz spacing implemented by the Geneva Frequency Plan of 1975 on AM radio stations in the Philippines and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Around 2024, DYKC found its new home at SMC Warehouse Compound along A. del Rosario, Tipolo.
DYKC is the only radio station in Cebu whose operation was not disrupted during Martial Law period.
