Claire Wilcox

[edit]Claire Wilcox, born July 2, 1955 Toronto, Ontario, Canada is a former child actress, acting in the 1962 movie, 40 Pounds of Trouble as Penelope "Penny" Piper.[1][2][3][4]

[edit]Claire Wilcox was born in 1954 and grew up in Fulham, England to a father who owned a shop selling wools and haberdashery and mother, a teacher.[5] They moved to a house in Chiswick.[5] Wilcox is senior curator of fashion at the Victoria and Albert Museum.[6]
Wilcox received an honorary doctorate in art and design from Middlesex University in July 2017.[7] She sits on the editorial board of the journal Fashion Theory.[8] She is professor of fashion curation at the London College of Fashion.[9] She won the 2021 PEN/Ackerley Prize for Patch Work.[10]
