Christian Muirhead is a business executive in the entertainment industry. Currently co-chairman of WME Group, before that, he was a co-chair and partner William Morris Endeavor, and before that, chief communications officer of Endeavor.
Early life and education
[edit]He was born in Brussels, Belgium, around 1978. Muirhead was raised in London, Toronto, Buffalo and Baltimore, traveling with his family to accommodate his father's work as a management specialist. He later graduated from Boston University.[1]
Career
[edit]Following his college graduation, Muirhead became an assistant in the Warner Bros. international public relations office. He joined the William Morris Agency in 2004[1] as corporate communications director.[2]
After the merger of the William Morris Agency with Endeavor Talent Agency in 2009, he became head of corporate communications for William Morris Endeavor.[3] In 2014, he became chief communications officer of the combined sports and entertainment company WME-IMG[4] (later renamed Endeavor).[5]
In 2022, Muirhead was appointed co-chair of the William Morris Endeavor talent agency.[6][4] Noted as "a cornerstone of Endeavor" by Variety,[6] he then shifted from Endeavor corporate to the talent agency.[7] In 2023, the co-chairs steered the agency through the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.[8]
In March 2025, Muirhead and Richard Weitz were named co-chairs of WME Group.[9]
Muirhead became a member of the LA board of directors of the Paley Center in 2024,[10] and was named among the Variety500 index of media leaders influencing the global industry.[8]
Personal life
[edit]Muirhead is based in New York.[8] He is married to Jennifer, an interior designer,[11] and a former contributing editor at InStyle. Their daughter was born in Los Angeles.[12]
