Notes

[edit]

This category contains, for instance, ogg files and digital audio and thus seems to deserve to be a subcategory of Category:Technology. Hyacinth 01:31, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I think the best way to find out is to see how the best known equivalent, (MP3) is categorized - currently under union of digital audio, and audio codecs. Both of those cats fall under the technology category as well. I believe the Sound category should stick closer to the physical def'n rather than the technical derivatives or treatments. In that light, Digital audio is kind of pushing it as well.

Acoustics

[edit]

Should category:Acoustics remain a subcategory or vice versa or both? Sebastian (talk) 17:40, 2005 May 18 (UTC)

Acoustics is currently a subcategory of Sound. Articles should not be in both. I could use some guidance as to what belongs there as opposed to what belongs here in Sound. --Kvng (talk) 21:55, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
