I am the perpetrator, and I don't have super-strong feelings about it. Here is the logic: the relationship between types of boats and types of kayaking is not 1:1, and some of the articles are about types of boating (e.g. Whitewater kayaking), and some are about types of boats (e.g. Sea kayak). The boat articles tend to focus on history, design, materials, etc, and the kayak'ing articles tend to focus on broader issues, though this distinction is far from universally honored. Also, I am hoping to rewrite the article Kayak to be more of an overview of everything, pointing to all of the relevant articles, and I had to find them and lay them out somehow. So if two cats is a problem, combined them, I guess, but it is handy to me during the rewrite process, so if you can hold off, that would be great. -- Gnetwerker 04:28, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
