Translators to the German wikipedia, please note!

[edit]

Please note that the policies (or traditions) of the German language and the English language wikipedia differ on the question of which articles are "appropriate" (or: notable, deserving, relevant, etc) for Wikipedia.

  1. If (as in this category) the definition of a sequence depends on a numeral system, an article about such a sequence is likely to be considered irrelevant by German Wikipedians and in danger of being erased soon. Cf. the german article on Keith-numbers, the discussion about it on the german maths portal and the discussion about its deletion.
  2. In any case, look at the criteria of relevance for articles on mathematical topics.

If you follow these guidelines, you save your own and others time. Thank You! --KleinKlio 17:36, 7 November 2006 (UTC) slightly rephrased by Aleph4 16:11, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
