A Redlinking Wikipedian is an editor who prefers to add or leaves in useful red links, in order to help generate content, especially from new editors. New registered editors and meaningful edits are declining in numbers, and editors are finding it increasingly difficult to find articles which have not already been written as the community content matures. This is one way of helping resolve this issue. Obviously, we don't want red links to articles that are unlikely to ever be created, nor to deleted articles, nor incorrectly formatted links. Placing the user box {{User:Esowteric/Redlink}} on a user page will add a user to this category.
