Cartwrightia islasi is a species of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae.[1] It is found in El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico (Chiapas, Guerrero, Sinaloa, Veracruz).[2][3]
Description
[edit]Adults reach a length of about 3.45–4 mm (0.136–0.157 in). They have an elongate, subparallel, generally dark reddish brown body, with areas of greyish golden-brown argillaceous coating on the head, pronotum, tips of the elytra and underside.[3]
Etymology
[edit]The species is named in honour of Dr. Federico Islas, who described the genus and its first species.[3]
