Caenomeryx is an extinct genus of cainotheriid artiodactyl that lived in Western Europe during the Rupelian and Chattian stages of the Oligocene epoch.[1][2][3]

Fossils of Caenomeryx are known from France.[4]

Life history

Caenomeryx filholi had a tooth eruption sequence of M1 – M2 – I1 – I2 – M3 – I3 – C1 – (P2 – P3 – P4).[5]
