Birgit Melgaard Christensen (born 31 May 1976) is a former Danish footballer who played as a midfielder. Christensen earned 48 caps and scored goals for the Denmark women's national football team. She was the chairman of Fortuna Hjørring from 2019 to 2023.[1][2]
She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, playing 3 matches.[3]
After football
[edit]Christensen trained as a painter alongside playing football and owned her own business from 2006 to 2026.[4][5]
