Awahan (Assamese: আৱাহন) was an Assamese-language monthly literary magazine launched in 1929.[1][2]
The magazine is regarded, along with Jonaki, Banhi, and Ramdhenu, as one of the periodicals that shaped the course of modern Assamese literature, and the period of its publication is sometimes referred to as the Awahan era.[1] It introduced and encouraged a new generation of Assamese writers in the 1930s.[2]
