Atopobiaceae is a family of bacteria in the order Coriobacteriales and the phylum Actinomycetota. The type genus is Atopobium.[2] The family was established for a clade containing Atopobium and Olsenella, which was distinguished from Coriobacteriaceae using phylogenetic analyses and conserved signature indels.[1]
Phylogeny
[edit]Nomenclature follows LPSN.[2] The simplified phylogenomic tree below was obtained by pruning the bacterial reference tree from GTDB release R11-RS232 to the type species of the LPSN-recognized genera represented in that release. [3][4][5]
