Ataenius depilis is a species of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae.[1] It is found in Ecuador, Venezuela and Trinidad & Tobago.[2][3]
Description
[edit]Adults reach a length of about 3–4.3 mm (0.12–0.17 in). They have an oblong-oval, moderately shiny, black body, with the clypeal and lateral pronotal edge and legs reddish.[3]
Life history
[edit]Specimens have been collected in gallery forests and taken from soil and log and leaf litter.[3]
