Araponga is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Its population as of 2020[update] is estimated to be 8,453 people living in an elevation of 1,040 meters.[1] The area of the municipality is 304.42 km2 (117.54 sq mi). The city belongs to the mesoregion of Zona da Mata and to the microregion of Viçosa.
