Ana Kirova (born 1992)[1] is Bulgarian graphic designer and business executive based in London. She is the chief executive officer of the dating app Feeld.
Early life and education
[edit]Kirova was born in Bulgaria[2][3] in 1992[1] and raised in Varna.[2] Her father is a neurologist and her mother is in broadcasting.[2][4] Kirov studied graphic design at London's University of Greenwich.[2][5]
Career
[edit]Before joining Feeld, Kirova worked as a freelance designer in London.[3]
Kirova's bisexuality inspired boyfriend, Dimo Trifonov, to create the app Feeld (originally called 3nder or thrinder).[2][3][6] In 2016, she joined the staff as an allrounder with no specific job title. In 2020, she became its Chief Product Officer.[3] The same year, Trifonov stepped down as CEO citing a desire to focus on research and development.[3]
The following year in April 2021, Kirova was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Feeld.[6] The company has 40 odd staff,[3][2] and approximately half of its leadership team are women.[3][2] In November 2021, Kirova announced a minimum salary of £60,000 (approximately US $80,000) for all full-time employees.[7][3] Between 2022 and 2025, Feeld doubled its revenue[6] and the app is available in over 100 countries.[3] In December 2023, she also became a director of the company.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Kirova lives in Europe with her partner, Trifonov, Feeld's founder and creative director.[1][3]
Awards and honours
[edit]- Kirova was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe Class of 2022.[8][5] In 2024, she was named to The Independent's E2E Tech 100 list.[9]

I got the sense that, like many... creatives, Kirova herself couldn't say no to the chance to produce a gorgeous print object: Her mother used to run a print newspaper in Bulgaria, and Kirova herself was a 21-year-old graphic design student when she first met her future co-founder/partner, Dimo Trifonov, at a party in London.
