Alcides Sosa Ovelar (24 March 1944 – 22 May 2026) was a Paraguayan footballer who played as a defender.[1] He made 48 appearances for the Paraguay national team from 1968 to 1977 and was also part of Paraguay's squad for the 1975 Copa América tournament.[2] Sosa died on 22 May 2026, at the age of 82.[3]
