2 Amys is a restaurant in the Cathedral Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C., United States. It serves pizza and assorted Italian cuisine. The restaurant was opened in September 2001 by chef and restauranteer Peter Pastan and business partner Tim Giamette.[1]
2 Amys is well-known for its Neapolitan pizzas. The restaurant's pizza dough has been awarded the designation of Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (lit. 'True Neapolitan Pizza Association') for its strict adherence to the Association's standards.[2][3]
In 2016, 2 Amy's was included on the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand list, although the restaurant was subsequently removed from the list in 2019.[4][5]
In 2024, owner Peter Pastan and his son, Oliver Pastan, opened sister restaurant Bar del Monte in the nearby Mount Pleasant neighborhood.[6]
