The 2005 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887.[1]
Toomevara were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Thurles Sarsfields in the quarter-finals stage.[2][3]
The final was played on 16 October 2005 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, between Thurles Sarsfields and first-time finlaists Drom & Inch. Thurles Sarsfields won the match by 1–17 to 0–15 to claim their 29th championship title overall and a first title in 29 years.[4][5]
