  • Probabilistic computer or p-bit. This request is motivated by an article in IEEE Spectrum about recent advances in building larger probabilistic computer (1 million p-bits). . I had not heard of it before, so came to wikipedia for information and found nothing. A web search turned up some more discussion of this type of computer, but I still am not clear what it is, so I cannot write a stub (edit: IEEE Spectrum has an introductory article ). I also could not find a good place to mention it in any other article (quantum computer, bit, qbit, stochastic). I assume that these computers are meant to be useful in applied probability, but am not sure. An article describing the first probabilistic computer was published in Nature in 2019 and has 686 citations , based on those citations, this type of computer seems to be related to spintronics.
