Remove Egypt - the parts of Egypt arguably in Asia are desert and do not produce art. RS never treat Egyptian art as part of Asian art. Johnbod (talk) 10:35, 19 October 2025 (UTC) Johnbod (talk) 10:35, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
Not done: Template:Asia topic is a broader template that can generate links to a multitude of topics, not only art. Geography of Egypt is a good example, as it uses the template both directly (for the "Climate of Asia" series) and indirectly through {{Geography of Asia}}.- There have been previous discussions about this (such as /Archive 5#Egypt is a Asian country?How come!), and, given how these templates are in use at many "X of Egypt" pages, a stronger consensus would be needed for them to be removed. Description of suggested change: Palestine should be moved from "Sovereign states" to "States with limited recognition". Not only is it not recognised by 36 member states of the UN (see International recognition of Palestine) it is also, even is technically recongnised, only a de jure sovereign state, de facto being a semi-autonomous entity largely controlled by Israel.
Diff:

* [[ Palestine |Palestine]] |

Description of suggested change: Remove redlink to List of diplomatic missions in Christmas Island as a place with diplomatic Missions in "List of diplomatic missions in Asia" /Template:Asia_topic. It doesn't have any.
-Bogger (talk) 10:50, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Bogger, where this template is used for diplomatic missions, you can if wanted disable all territories with |countries_only=yes. However, I don't think there is a Christmas Island-specific toggle. CMD (talk) 11:54, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

The article direct to Iran should be changed to the redirect Ethnic minorities in Iran, rather than the article on the 2014 book Minorities in Iran. To be clear, the specific template can be found at the bottom of this page here. PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 13:30, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
- @PresentlySuraye3: There are three instances of
{{Asia topic}}in that section:You don't make it clear to which of these you refer. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:38, 14 July 2026 (UTC){{Asia topic|Minorities in}} {{Asia topic|Ethnic minorities in}} {{Asia topic|Religious minorities in}}
- @Redrose64 I am specifically referring to the "Minorities in" template which you list above. Apologies for not specifying. PresentlySuraye3 (talk) 22:41, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that can't be fixed within this template. I have added a {{for}} template to the top of Minorities in Iran. If you want Ethnicities in Iran to be linked directly from Minorities in Iran, that page could be moved after a discussion to Minorities in Iran (book) and Minorities in Iran could be turned into a redirect. To start that discussion, see the instructions at WP:RSPM. – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:04, 15 July 2026 (UTC)

The list is alphabetized incorrectly: Pakistan and Palestine should swap places. Numberguy6 (talk) 23:47, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
