Zemach (Hebrew: צמח) is a Hebrew word signifying 'branch', 'sprout' or 'shoot', metaphorically also growth, a new start, future hope, and biblically - the coming of the Messiah. It can occur as a surname. Spelling variations include Tsemach, Tzemach, Tsemah, Zemah, etc.
