[ᵓ] is erroneously marked off as ‘sulcalized’, which has no precedence whatsoever. It should be removed from the symbol data completely. See discussion in Talk:Tillamook language#erroneous ᵓ diacritic usage oklopfer (💬) 13:23, 7 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

@PharyngealImplosive7 @BodhiHarp can one of you please remove this? oklopfer (💬) 03:16, 9 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Please update the entry for "Voiced dental nasal" in Module:IPA symbol/data.

Change:

{

   name = "Voiced dental nasal",
   symbols = { "n̪" },

},

To:

{

   name = "Voiced dental nasal",
   symbols = { "n̪" },
   audio = "Voiced Dental Nasal.ogg",

}

Reason: There is no audio for this symbol yet. I am a native Malayalam speaker, and my language has both the voiced dental nasal and the voiced alveolar nasal. I recorded the correct dental sound.

Letters wants to be added. RockyWikiSantali (talk) 14:37, 31 December 2025 (UTC) Please let me make more letters now.Reply

 Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. IsCat (talk) 14:55, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Click consonants rd to 'prestopped consonant' and 'prenasalized consonant', rather than to the click type or manner. See e.g. the consonant chart at Xhosa language, where none of them are prestopped or prenasalized. — kwami (talk) 06:32, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

We may have to add all of the possible combinations to the symbol data. It seems to be breaking down when post symbols are added (the plain nasal clicks without slack voice, aspiration, or ejection seem to link just fine). As a test Special:Diff/1335260787 fixed the link for the slack nasal dental ~ oklopfer (💬) 07:00, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Audio for a mid near-back rounded vowel

[edit]

Replace:

{

name = "Mid near-back rounded vowel",

symbols = { "o̽", "ɔ̽", "ö̞", "ɔ̝̈" },

},

with:

{

name = "Mid near-back rounded vowel",

symbols = { "o̽", "ɔ̽", "ö̞", "ɔ̝̈" },

audio = "Mid near-back rounded vowel.ogg"

}, FonzuHarp (talk) 09:44, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Oklopfer is my file Mid near-back rounded vowel.ogg accurate in your opinion? - Bᴏᴅʜı ***** Hᴀᴙᴩ** 03:26, 31 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@BodhiHarp it sounds a bit too much like [ɯ̽] or [ɤ̞] to me, rather than a fronted []. Might need a re-recording. ~ oklopfer (💬) 04:09, 31 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
