Sandun Perera (Sinhala: සඳුන් පෙරේරා; born 19 March 1994), is a Sri Lankan musician, and songwriter.
Early life and education
[edit]Sandun was born in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He received his education at Soysa Vidyalaya, Moratuwa, and Nalanda College Colombo.[1]
Music career
[edit]In 2015, Perera penned the song Sansara Gaane for popular young singer Yashan de Silva and Shanudrie Priyasad[2]
Sandun wrote the lyrics for the song Sinha Vise, created for the 2016 Cricket World Cup. Sri Lankan national cricketers Dasun Shanaka and Dinesh Chandimal participated in this song.[3][4]
Sandun released the song Arabi Kumari in January 2024. The song gained rapid digital traction, reaching the number one trending spot on major video and streaming platforms in Sri Lanka within 21 hours of its official launch.[5]
