Christopher Vargas is an American football quarterback for the St. John's Eagles. He is currently committed to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Vargas attended St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts. As a freshman, he threw for 1,311 yards and 17 touchdowns with just three interceptions as the team's starter.[1] In his sophomore season, Vargas completed 66.7% of his passes for 2,038 yards and 24 touchdowns to three interceptions.[2] Coming out of high school, he was rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports, where he held offers from schools such as Auburn, Boston College, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Stanford, Virginia, SMU, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Syracuse, Texas A&M, UCLA, UConn, and UMass.[3][4] Ultimately, Vargas committed to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[5][6]
