Directions for expanding any division below
[edit]The general outline and collection has been started, but if you would like to expand and organize a discipline, here's what you do. Right below the page heading for the discipline insert this: {{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Work groups/Division banner}} and save. This will put a rough outline together for you and then you can edit it to conform to your area. See Writers and critics below for an example. If your project grows large enough where it's taking up a good portion of this page, you should probably move it to a subpage of this page.
You might also want to make a Members section for people to join your specific area!
Tagging articles
[edit]Any article related to this work group should be marked by adding |a&e-work-group=yes to the {{WPBiography}} project banner at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into Category:Arts and entertainment work group articles. Articles can be assessed for priority within this work group by using the |a&e-priority= parameter. See Template:WikiProject Biography/doc for detailed instructions on how to use the banner.

Zero sigcov outside of a single PCWorld source. Flickr is a primary source while user reviews of a download does not establish notability. Go D. Usopp (talk) 12:41, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:NORG. A before finds zero independent, reliable sources and the museum is not even open yet, WP:TOOSOON? Theroadislong (talk) 20:34, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Delete – I don't think the subject meets WP:GNG or the relevant notability guidelines under WP:BIO and WP:CREATIVE. There are numerous citations, but several are primary or non-independent, including the subject's own website, while others are interviews, event coverage, announcements, or brief mentions that verify individual activities without providing substantial independent coverage of the subject. I also don't see significant independent critical coverage of her work as an artist or other sourcing that would clearly establish notability under WP:CREATIVE. Participation in exhibitions, fashion events and beauty pageants, as well as minor acting appearances, does not establish notability by itself. A search for additional sources does not appear to produce multiple reliable, independent secondary sources with the depth of coverage required by WP:GNG. On the available sourcing, I don't think there is enough independent coverage for a standalone biography. KrvntN (talk) 08:56, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NARTIST. Citations are directories (AskArt, EDMTrain), promotional outlets and passing mentions. Kqol • talk 23:32, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
“People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not usually sufficient to establish notability”. Are all sources in article primary and trivial? No, multiple secondary, independent and reliable sources have discussed the subject and their works in-depth in some WP:RS recognised sources including: 1. This by the 34th Street Magazine dedicated to arts reporting with the title “Meet Jet Le Parti, The Self–Taught Artist Who Turned his Apartment into a Studio Artist Spotlight | Jet combines the philosophy of art with the art of philosophy.” The article has a clearly stated byline (writer’s name) and it is published under the publication’s Art Section. 34th Street Magazine is a weekly arts and entertainment magazine by The Daily Pennsylvanian, the student newspaper of the University of Pennsylvania with a clear editorial independence. 2.This by The Village Voice which is on the list of WP RS with the title “Jet Le Parti and the Poetry of the Impossible Middle Ground”. The piece clearly displays the writers name with an in-depth discussion of the subject and his work. The Village Voice is an American news and culture publication based in Greenwich Village, New York City, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly.
4.This by Whitehot Magazine, a publication dedicated to witting about art. 5.This by Billboard Japan, a is a sister organization of the U.S.-based music magazine Billboard His EP album is on Apple music which is a WP recognised reliable music source widely cited for music here. Runmastery (talk) 10:31, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Non-notable WP:BIO. Orthogonal Diacritics (talk) 19:34, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
Even though the subject should, in theory, be notable (more than one prominent roles), the sources are so scarce on him that even the only obituary I could find is a Facebook post. Vgbypw (talk) 12:44, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
This list is arbitrary and does not pass the notability threshold of WP:NLIST. In the UK, British Asians usually refers to people of subcontinental origin. If you say "he is Asian" to British person, they picture a person of Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi origin. The category of "British Asian" applied to all of Asia is not reflecting anything that any contemporary British person recognises as a coherent category, which is why, unlike for British Chinese or British Asian (subcontinental) there are no sources that treat "British Asian" (continental) as a category. At the limit, sources which cover artists with origins from the subcontinent, China and further east may exist, though I have never personally seen any. There is a census category of "British Asian/Asian", which includes the options "Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Chinese/any other Asian please describe". However, people from West and central Asia do not consistently use this and a separate "Arab" category exists outside of Asian. Turks, Iranians and eastern Russians will usually, though not always, tick "White other" or "any other ethnicity". Boynamedsue (talk) 13:31, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
Lack of sigcov as a series. ClayFighter (video game) should be moved to this page. Go D. Usopp (talk) 03:32, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
One of a number of very lengthy, possibly AI generated, articles about the work of photographer Kansuke Yamamoto . This article is about a single photograph, and basically a description of what a single author says in her book Japan's Modern Divide: The Photographs of Hiroshi Hamaya and Kansuke Yamamoto. As such, Sleepy Sea shows little sign at all of meeting WP:GNG. Time for it to go. Sionk (talk) 17:56, 15 September 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG, WP:NBIO, WP:NCREATIVE. I feel kind of bad nominating this because she seems like a prolific artist and activist, such that it seems implausible that there isn't sufficient independent coverage for an article. But a BLP without independent secondary sources is just self-promotion. My findings in terms of independent coverage: Astana Times - The publication is independent, but nearly every sentence is a quote from the artist. Reform News - Primarily about one project with little biographical information about the artist. Also pretty heavily reliant on the artist's own statement about said project. Kyiv Post - One of these is a decent biographical piece, and as far as I'm aware, Kyiv Post is a reputable news organization - however, the author, Gloria Griffon is not a Kyiv Post reporter or art critic - she is described as
These support her notability a bit, but I don't think they are good enough.
Fails WP:NCORP and WP:ADMASQ. This article was erroneously moved from the draftspace by Katoya78 in 2024, mere days after an AfC reviewer had rejected it as non-notable, following previous similar rejections. The article lacks significant coverage of the company itself beyond an WP:INDISCRIMINATE recounting of its products and promotional history. — Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 19:41, 3 September 2026 (UTC)

Not notable. All citations currently in the article are to the guy's own website, which makes sense since he wrote the article himself. Said website lists some newspaper articles and such that he's written; it does not qualify for WP:AUTHOR. I can find no independent coverage of him, so fails WP:GNG. AntiDionysius (talk) 14:41, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG. No indication of proper notability. Pirateofthewest (talk) 08:06, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
I've been working on the unreferenced articles backlog and I can't find any reliable sources on this historical person. Being a person from India, especially an older one, the spelling of the name suffers massively from Hunterian transliteration, which you can even see between the article title and the bolded subject name in the first line. I've tried multiple permutations, however, and still haven't been able to find proper sources. What complicates this further is that there is someone else with the name Sundaresanar, possibly multiple someones, that lived in the decades just following his claimed death. So those sources are not about this Sundaresanar. Additionally, there was a prior version of the article that has more info and even references, but the info was entirely about the rest of the person's family and not about him. So a big ol zero for notability from that either. In short, a complete failure of WP:N. SilverserenC 22:53, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
All sources are run of the mill so do not show notability or meet WP:NAUTHOR. PeriodicEditor (talk) 19:56, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
Created by an editor blocked for UPE, none of the sourcing passes WP:GNG. Can't find any evidence they pass WP:NAUTHOR or equivalent. EDIT: I somehow overlooked the previous AfD only a month ago, whoops! As noted in the previous AfD, the only review of his work (that was definitvely by him) anyone could find was , which definitely isn't enough for NAUTHOR. Not notable outside Oxford_University_Student_Union#Rashmi_Samant where the content is already found for years. See WP:GNG. Qualitist (talk) 05:55, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
The subject has received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources spanning several years. Coverage predates the controversy and includes standalone reporting on her election as the first Indian woman president of the Oxford University Student Union in February 2021 (The Times of India,"Oxford University Student Union gets first Indian female president". The Times of India. 13 February 2021. Mint,"Meet Rashmi Samant, first Indian female president of Oxford University Student Union". Mint. 13 February 2021. and Deccan Herald"Karnataka girl first Indian woman to become president of Oxford Student Union". Deccan Herald. 12 February 2021.). Substantial coverage also extends beyond the Oxford SU episode. ThePrint published a standalone profile by Unnati Sharma in October 2023Sharma, Unnati (10 October 2023). "Rashmi Samant's life changed after Oxford row. She's an author, runs a company & is feted in BJP circles". ThePrint. examining the subject's subsequent activities, professional work and authorship. Additional coverage exists regarding her later public activities and published work, including coverage of her book A Hindu in OxfordSoni, Mallika (27 September 2023). "'We're treated badly': 1st Indian to head Oxford's student body in tell-all book". Hindustan Times.. This pattern of coverage is not limited to a single event. WP:BLP1E requires all three of its conditions to be met, and they are not: (1) sources do not cover her only in the context of a single event, as the 2023 ThePrint profile addresses her subsequent career and authorship; (2) she does not remain a low-profile individual, having since published two books and worked as a public commentator; and (3) the event was not insignificant, as the 2021 episode drew international coverage and was raised in the Indian Parliament by the External Affairs Minister. The continuing coverage years after the original controversy therefore weighs against a WP:BLP1E characterization. Any overlap with content at Oxford University Student Union § Rashmi Samant is a question of article organization and editorial scope, not evidence of non-notability. Per WP:SUMMARYSTYLE and WP:PAGEDECIDE, duplication concerns can be addressed through editorial restructuring rather than deletion. NomadBaba (talk) 12:46, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
I am unable to find WP:SIGCOV at this time. The sources used in the article are local, primary, or blog-like. The subject of the article is not meeting WP:GNG at this time. FiddleheadLady (talk) 00:56, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Article subject requests deletion per WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE on the grounds that she is a private person and lacks notability - WP:GNG - sufficient to warrant an article. See VRT ticket:2025090810005962. Geoff | Who, me? 00:06, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
Redirect to Land of the Lost (1974 TV series), for only where this former child actress is notable. Found Fox News articles about her, whose reliability is questionable (WP:FOXNEWS). Outside primary sources, like her herself, I dunno any reliable source that could've verified her general notability. This one verifies probably her notability as a child actress of that TV series. George Ho (talk) 01:48, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
One-line stub whose four refs are a 2016 feature on Facebook poets in general, a literary festival notice, an event listing and a piece on Rekhta's superhero posters of poets; none is significant coverage of Hafi himself, and I can't find the critical commentary on his work that WP:NAUTHOR requires. Moarnighar (talk) 07:19, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
Non-notable comedian who cannot WP:INHERIT notability from his much more famous podcast collaborator Shane Gillis. The sources here are mix of unreliable sources like WP:IMDB; links to his own book, podcasts, and specials; Q&A WP:PRIMARYSOURCE podcast interviews of McCusker, WP:TRIVIALMENTIONs (example); and a tabloid-y story about his wife. I could not find any full-length independent reviews for his book Overlook. His first special also has no independent reviews. I found two independent reviews for his Netflix special (Decider, Ready Steady Cut - not sure if the latter is a blog or a reliable publication]), so perhaps an article could be written about that special. But for McCusker himself, there's no pass of WP:GNG or WP:NCREATIVE. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:42, 21 September 2026 (UTC)
He's also the sole performer and writer of a Netflix stand-up special that received multiple independent reviews, which I think makes a reasonable case under WP:NCREATIVE, along with WP:GNG. Some of the sourcing currently in the article is weak, but that seems like an argument for cleaning up and improving the page rather than deleting it when stronger independent coverage is available. Quintin Soloviev (talk) 17:09, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
The subject is a Norwegian writer and columnist, previously deleted under WP:A7 (log). The cited sources verify his publications but consist mainly of publisher profiles and routine coverage, lacking the significant, independent coverage required by WP:GNG and WP:AUTHOR. The available sourcing appears not to establish notability, even for a stub. AriuCH (talk) 13:34, 20 September 2026 (UTC)
Tenuous refs, not much else. Mostly WP:PRIMARY. Fails WP:SIGCOV, WP:BIO. scope_creepTalk 19:14, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
Non-notable author, or should I say not-yet-notable. His book The Second Verse seems to have multiple independent full-length reviews, and thus would pass WP:NBOOK, but I didn't find any independent reviews of his book Canary or his forthcoming book The Kings of Goat Hill. Should multiple reviews emerge for either of these books, he will become notable under WP:NAUTHOR in the future. However, he doesn't pass it now, and the coverage of him doesn't support a WP:GNG pass as it's a mix of non-independent sources like official bios, his own writing and Q&A interviews.
