Background:
This is a perennial debate for which descriptive guidance has been compiled in the form of WP:CATLEDE#Footballers. This is not instructive.
The Catalan first option has had precedence at this article with a note asking Please do not change without discussing on talk page and reviewing RfC on Spanish regional identities; Paul Vaurie has changed this, most recently in June after ignoring attempt to discuss with them in January.
In light of the above discussion regarding conflicting MOS advice, should this article follow WP:OLY and use American English for the hosts or follow WP:CRIC and use British English for consistency across cricket articles? The C of E God Save the King! (talk) 11:58, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
