Draft:Venkata Subbaiah Karumanchi (filter log) (user filter log)

Description

I tried to create Draft:Venkata Subbaiah Karumanchi at 19:52 UTC on 28 September 2026. The edit was disallowed by a filter described as "Fixed position vandalism"; filters 147 and 148 also logged a possible autobiography. This is a good-faith sourced biographical draft about my great-grandfather, not vandalism. I have a family conflict of interest and will disclose it on the draft talk page if the draft is created. Could an experienced editor review the false positive and, if appropriate, make the edit on my behalf? The draft text is available for review.

If an editor with access to the private filter has a moment, I'd appreciate a prompt review of this false positive. The full draft text is in my sandbox if that helps. Rkaruman (talk) 21:00, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Done and a change to the filter may be needed. Was a false positive. Filter change would make sense I think. – Nobody (talk) 05:04, 29 September 2026 (UTC)reply

~~(deny removed) While these numbers (6 and 7) are funny, it's not appropriate to add on articles. — SimpleObjects-9ei 🍂/🌰/🤗 (see talk) 01:45, 5 October 2026 (UTC)~~reply

Note: @~2026-52705-05 After re-checking with a Google Search, "67 Mason Street" appears to be a completely legit location of the U.S. if excluding results for the meme. I'm very sure you meant this Mason Street in California, so your edit assumes good faith. — SimpleObjects-9ei 🍂/🌰/🤗 (see talk) 01:54, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

The link they provided showed that the hotel wasn't at 67 Mason Street, but at 56 Mason Street. SuperJames888 (Talk to me) 02:20, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

https://www.thclinic.org/en/properties/bristol-hotel/

"hotel owner says 56 Mason Street", oops , first I tried copy-paste from URL, later I mistyped the number

also, I could not add just the <ref>

can you try adding the correct #, 56, and the <ref> ?

Comments: Not done though a change to the filter may be needed. I'm not really sure if you're just promoting your Minecraft server or not but I'm guessing that one of the institution names or the word "minecraft" triggered the edit filter. — SimpleObjects-9ei 🍂/🌰/🤗 (see talk) 13:05, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Description: Per WP:ANI#Mass removal of archive.is by possible proxies. Not really sure but it's probably because filter 1,402 does not exclude the full word "reverted", even though I included the word "revert" two times in the edit summary.

Comments: Looks like it triggered on you adding the Archive.fo link, like it is intended. SuperJames888 (Talk to me) 19:12, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

@Daniel Quinlan Any ideas? (since you were the last to edit this filter) SuperJames888 (Talk to me) 19:16, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

@SuperJames888 and SimpleObjects-9ei: I added a fix to 1401 and 1402 to allow these reverts for extended confirmed users only. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 19:36, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

it could be that i used rollback while they simply reverted? /usr/bin/owuh $ (💬 | she/they) 19:16, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Not sure, I haven't experienced that filter triggering for myself, and I don't use or have rollback. SuperJames888 (Talk to me) 19:19, 5 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Page you were editing: Talk:Liza Soberano (filter log) (user filter log)
Description: I was trying to post a good-faith request on the Talk:Liza Soberano page to correct factual and chronological errors in the Early life section of a biography of a living person. I am a relative of the subject and disclosed my conflict of interest in the proposed post. I am not attempting to directly edit the article or asking Wikipedia to rely on my personal knowledge. I provided published sources from GMA News and PEP, as well as Liza Soberano's own public interview, and asked an uninvolved editor to review the sources and make any appropriate corrections. The automated filter prevented the Talk page request from being published. I would appreciate assistance reviewing this as a false positive.
