Template talk:Prod llm
Add topicInviting improvements
[edit]I've created Template:Prod llm/dated based on Template:Prod blp/dated and the text of Wikipedia:Presumptive removal of AI-generated content, the text is rough but should be accurate. Improvements are very welcome. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 09:58, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! My sincere apologies, I was working on the exact same template at the same time. Feel free to revert it back to your version. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 10:06, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Only spent around fifteen minutes making it to get something up since I'd already seen editors starting to use the LLMPROD process, your version is preferred. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 10:10, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Really sorry for taking so long. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 10:18, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- I am currently trying to fix the prose and create the accompanying templates and tracking categories. My sincere apologies again. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 10:24, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- There's no problem, really, was just getting a stop-gap up. I figured you were probably taking the time needed to make an actually good version! Your work is very much appreciated. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 10:32, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Just created Template:ProdwarningLLM and Template:ProdwarningLLM-batch, the latter as I foresee batch nominations being a thing in the future. It would be great if we had a tool for that purpose. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 11:59, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not terribly enthused about offering LLM editors the ability to decline deletion by taking responsibility for content that's already their responsibility, but I suppose that's a guideline issue. It could possibly be alleviated by pointing directly to WP:NOLLM in the notice and stating that editors must rewrite any content they generated full stop. The template looks accurate, though maybe an indication that the objection process is codified at WP:LLMPRVOBJ wouldn't be unwelcome. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 12:31, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yep, I've tried to clarify that "taking responsibility" doesn't just mean "okay, I did it" but actually checking and rewriting the whole content. Still worried that editors might not necessarily do their due diligence, feel free to improve the wording. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 12:53, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Made the change, can continue the discussion at Template talk:ProdwarningLLM#Clarifying NOLLM if needed. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 14:02, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

- "Once having done so" reads a bit awkwardly to me. I think "After doing so..." or perhaps "Once you have done so" might be an improvement. There may be some other options as well. ASUKITE 03:29, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Prefer "Once you have done so". fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 12:55, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Definitely agree, thanks for the feedback! Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 13:17, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

- The categorization sort in CAT:ALLPROD should be by the default title, not timestamp. Like {{blp-prod}} and {{prod}}. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 17:53, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
- Timestamp sortkey removed. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 04:29, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
Template-protected edit request on 1 August 2026
[edit]| It is requested that an edit be made to the template-protected template at Template:Prod llm/dated. (edit · history · last · links · transclusion count · protection log) This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, so that an editor unfamiliar with the subject matter could complete the requested edit immediately.
Edit requests to template-protected pages should only be used for edits that are either uncontroversial or supported by consensus. If the proposed edit might be controversial, discuss it on the protected page's talk page before using this template. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request. When the request has been completed or denied, please add the |
Edit {{prod llm/dated}} to remove the move buttons. The guideline only allows users assuming responsibility to move pages into their own userspace, not draftspace, and only the user assuming responsibility can make such a move, therefore |user= is also without use.
