Purpose
[edit]Is this template only able to be placed on files which meet CSD F8, or is it for files generally which have a commons counterpart? (I am assuming it is the latter, based on the first sentence.)
I've tagged a png file with this template, when there is a jpg version of the same file with the same name commons. (I am also assuming a png is more desirable to have on commons than a jpg, especially when the png has the older upload date and is lossless. So if that's possible to port over, that seems to be the ideal outcome for it here.) Utopes (talk / cont) 19:50, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
