Usage

Please add this template after a reference to an unquoted source that you think may be inaccurate, like this:

{{Request quotation|date=August 2026}}

This is used to request a direct quote from the cited source, so that it may be verified that the source can verify the statement or that the editor has interpreted the source correctly.

This is particularly helpful for:

• sources that are not available online, including sources behind a paywall (WP:PAYWALL)
• sources that are difficult to obtain, such as being available only in a specific library
• foreign-language sources, per WP:NONENG
