I got this version of Ribet's Main Theorem out of Knapp. It's quite a bit different than Ribet's formulation, but allows the descent argument. I've made a bunch of changes, and I hope things are now more clear. Gene Ward Smith 08:11, 25 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have moved this article back to "epsilon conjecture" (and performed a fairly broad revision), since the name "epsilon theorem" does not occur in the literature (i.e. it is OR). Also, it appears that the the word epsilon is usually not capitalized. Arcfrk 04:12, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
