Thomas Hürlimann

Thomas Hürlimann (born 21 December 1950) is a Swiss playwright and novelist.
Biography
[edit]Hürlimann was born in Zug, Switzerland.[1] He is a son of the former government and federal councilor (Minister) Hans Hürlimann.[2] He studied philosophy in Zürich and Berlin, worked as an assistant director and dramaturge at the Berlin Schiller Theater and was a guest lecturer at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig.[1] His 1989 novel das Gartenhaus was published as The Couple in the United States in 1991.[3] His works have been translated into 21 languages.[4]
