@BrownHairedGirl: I added some portal links here, using #switch based on the parameter WorkType. (I had meant to work in a sandbox but saved it here accidentally, so I carried on working with the live template.)

Then I found that you were implementing a different approach for {{Works year header}}, calling it from specialised templates such as {{PlayYr}} which specify the relevant portals.

I also found that you had put plain {{Navseasoncats}} on some decade works category pages, e.g. Category:1990s science fiction action films, although that may have been a temporary fix to replace the obsolete template:WorksDecade navigation.

I was thinking of implementing multiple portals here for certain values of WorkType, copying some code from {{YearInCountryPortalBox}}, but I'll drop it if this is on your to-do list and you have better ideas. – Fayenatic London 10:19, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
