Template adjustments

[edit]

I am proposing the following adjustments to be made to this template.

  • Adjustment of the image.

→

It is currently a female baton twirler, which has little to do with gymnastics. Baton twirling currently exists under the Marching band WikiProject, not gymnastics. I propose we change it to the pictogram above. It is gender-neutral, and better represents the gymnastics community. Additionally, it depicts a leaping activity, which is most representative across all of the sports under the gymnastics umbrella (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline, acrobatic, aerobic, parkour, etc.) instead of being specific to one aspect of the sport.

  • Inclusion of image request.

Similar to Template:WikiProject Biography, the inclusion of an "image-requested" parameter to populate and live within the Wikiproject.

Wanted to open up to the community here first for conversation. GauchoDude (talk) 22:17, 4 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

With a few weeks of this being open, I am now going to formally make this request. @Primefac: would you be able to assist or help guide me with what you need to make the adjustments? GauchoDude (talk) 21:13, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Done, added |image-needed=, feel free to update the /doc. Primefac (talk) 13:27, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
