Guidelines

- I don't think there are any codified guidelines; the appropriate number of examples will vary per-article on the basis of overall article length and the difficulty of the concept being explained. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 18:21, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Template:Example farm → Template:Excessive examples – Make it more clear what the template is for based on the name. Also consistent with Template:Excessive citations and the name I would expect this template to have. --Trialpears (talk) 22:33, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

- Support. Emphatically. Words like "farm" and "cruft" are vague and subjective, and their usage in this context is considered slang. The proposed name is clearer and more consistent with the usage in other templates. — Johnnie Bob (talk) 17:47, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Is there an inline version of this template?
[edit]For my purpose (a long list of languages at Declension), {{Overly detailed inline}} seems to work, but is there something more specific? — W.andrea (talk) 19:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
