Add role="presentation" on layout table

[edit]

More specifically, edit the third line so that

{| <!-- Template:Collapse top --> class="mw-collapsible mw-archivedtalk {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{{{expand|{{{collapse|}}}}}}||mw-collapsed}} {{{class|}}}" style="color:inherit; background: {{{bg1|transparent}}}; text-align: left; border: {{{border|1px}}} solid {{{b-color|Silver}}}; margin: 0.2em auto auto; width:{{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{{{width|}}}|{{{width}}}|100%}}; clear: {{{clear|both}}}; padding: 1px;"

would become

{| role="presentation" <!-- Template:Collapse top --> class="mw-collapsible mw-archivedtalk {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{{{expand|{{{collapse|}}}}}}||mw-collapsed}} {{{class|}}}" style="color:inherit; background: {{{bg1|transparent}}}; text-align: left; border: {{{border|1px}}} solid {{{b-color|Silver}}}; margin: 0.2em auto auto; width:{{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{{{width|}}}|{{{width}}}|100%}}; clear: {{{clear|both}}}; padding: 1px;"

Autocollapse

[edit]

The syntax: ′autocollapse=yes/no′ option is not provided anywhere in the template. Isnt this syntax necessary to be included in the template? --Gandabherunda01 (talk) 04:56, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Why? What is the use case? The autocollapse option is typically applied to navboxes and other extra elements so that they will collapse if there are many of them. – Jonesey95 (talk) 18:19, 27 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Jonesey95:, look at this edit: I have applied: ′collapse=yes′ and the section remain expanded. And you can look at this edit: , when ′autocollapse=yes′ is applied the section remain closed/collapsed. So I thought of enquiring.. --Gandabherunda01 (talk) 09:57, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please read this template's documentation. Specifically, Do not hide content in articles and the bit that begins Will leave the material uncollapsed. I have fixed the formatting in that article section. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:50, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Clear" does not work?

[edit]

I cannot seem to make the CLEAR parameter work. It has been discussed here before, but I do not know what is happening. I applied it at this revision of Marquess of Downshire, without success. —GoldRingChip 12:43, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
