Is David a prophet?

How come David among the list of prophets? As far as I know, Catholic church does not consider David as a prophet.--PrinceMathew (talk) 18:35, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Principles for adding saints to this?

There are a lot of saints. What rule dictates who gets on this list? I have in mind that there are many more Fathers that could be added. I also think "Confessor" as it is used in this list is fairly arbitrary. Nighm (talk) 18:05, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

I'm using the Litany of the Saints as well as Catholic lists of Fathers, Confessors, etc., in so far as they have Wikipedia pages. For example, there's a directory on Confessors of the Faith that I use for adding Confessors, as well as Saints titled "the Confessor". Oct13 (talk) 05:17, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Greetings, The article Blessed Martyrs of Drina indicates:

St. Uriel the Archangel and Michaelmas

Pre-christians are not canonized

Only people who lived during and after the Revelation of Christ can qualify as canonized saints by the Catholic Church; nobody calls Moses "St. Moses" even though he is an important character on the Bible and often refered as just. Therefore, the title "Catholic Saints" wouldn't be adequate, either that or maybe the list itself should change, excluding most Patriarchs and Prophets.

Some are missing

In the section of holy missionaries we must also add to Peter of Saint Joseph de Betancur and José de Anchieta. In the servants of God section: Mary of Jesus de León y Delgado and John of Jesus Hernández y Delgado.

I do very much apologize for being bothersome today with this particular template, but I wanted to clean up this template more as I felt that it was omitting very important people that should be included.

Please for the section "Martyrs" add Saint Sebastian , Saint Olaf , Adalbert of Prague as they already have the titles of 'martyr' in their own wiki page so it makes sense to add to the NavBox

For the "Confessors" section please add Saint Roch , Stephen I of Hungary ,

For the "Missionaries" section please add Sigfrid of Sweden , Columba , and Otto of Bamberg as their titles of 'Apostle of ___' and their importance in converting their region signifies they were indeed missionaries.

For the "Virgins" section please add Scholastica as the title is already attached in her own wiki page.

Requesting Ninian , Willibrord , Saint Kilian , Rupert of Salzburg , Henry (bishop of Finland) be added to the 'missionary' section as all these saints are known to have been the main reason for the spread Christianity in their designated region.

Also, please add Paulinus of Nola to confessor as his importance to early church history is notable.
